Good as a midlayer or outerlayer
I like the fact that the cuffs can be cinched down to keep out wind and keep a short guy like me from stepping on the hem. They breathe well too, so you can remain active without getting damp. The full side zip is nice for adjusting layers without removing boots. I wish the material was more stretchable like newer soft-shells. The handwarmer pockets are a little snug.
Comfortable - nice multi task pant.
Worked well alone for summer night time camping comfort. Haven't had the opportunity to use in cold weather, but they fit well under hardshell pants. I have to agree the velcro tabs are a pain in the side though.
Great, well made pants.
If you own MH Windstopper Tech Jacket you will love those pants. I was surprised how light they are(I expected them to be much heavier then they are). They fit very well. Excellent wind resistance. Great product not only for hiking but for all kinds of outdoor activities especially fishing. The only issue I do have is the same as person in previous review does: velcro tabs for suspenders keep rubbing against the body too much.
Very Warm
Came back from Mt Shasta, it was very windy on the top of Misery Hill and the pant did a great job.
Love Mountain Hardware clothing!
Already own the Windstopper tech jacket and love it! The pants were a little pricer than what I'd wanted to spend but well worth it. They fit well and are very warm. When last worn the temp was 20 degrees with 15-20 mph winds. I wore only running tights as a base layer underneath and stayed toasty warm for the 6 hours spent outside. Love em!
