The true test of any product is once it is out in the field, and the Mountain Hardwear Synchro Pant for A. Just read what ski mountaineer Andrew McLean had to say
In the three years it has taken me to wear out a pair of Synchro pants, I've gone through four pairs of skis, three pairs of poles, two pairs of ski boots and countless smashed sunglasses. Synchros are built to last and are the one piece of clothing I wear virtually every time I go out backcountry skiing. Between skiing, rock climbing, travel and casual wear, I've put over 400 days on a single pair of Synchros and they are still going strong.

Double Trouble with the MH Vertical
Use it with the MH Vertical and you won't go wrong. Both have full side zips so ventilation won't be a problem. This is the best combination for anything from snowboarding to climbing mountains.

Lap pants +++
These replaced my bagged-out Paty Guide pants for my daily ski wear... Now I'm glad I bought these for a deal on Altrec (cheers!) I was worried MH pant fit (previous unsatisfying experience) and about breathability - for both resort laps & skinning - & couldn't be happier: the side zips slide easy & do the job no prob. Full on water protection. Another upside is that they look better than most bc pants, so I'm not looking like I'm expedition-bound when just riding the lifts. Good pocket placements. Downside: no gaiters for powder forays. Fit: generous length & waist - ceratinly more roomy than the Synchro jacket - but works for layering/coverage. I'm 6'1" / 185 lbs., the L fits well slightly belted with a layer under. Recommended, except for the deep stuff.

Highly Recommended
I picked this pant for my friend for his journey to Sichuan Province in China. The fit is perfect. He like it very much and wear along with it almost all the journey. He highly recommended it to me after came back from Sichuan. I think I will get myself one pair of this pants later on, it also looks good...

Great in cold and wet. Vents well when it warms up.
Bought the jacket to check it out. Cold, wet climb-- stayed dry, sun came out and didn't bake. So I got the pants. They are durable and unzip so far they vent like shorts. Perfect for glacier travel where you can go from tanning factor 10 to a cold blue slot. Saves me hauling separate rain gear. Now if it was in a light color...
