The true test of any product is once it is out in the field, and the Mountain Hardwear Men's Synchro Pant certainly commands an A+. Just read what ski mountaineer Andrew McLean had to say: "In the three years it has taken me to wear out a pair of Synchro pants, I've gone through four pairs of skis, three pairs of poles, two pairs of ski boots and countless smashed sunglasses. Synchros are built to last and are the one piece of clothing I wear virtually every time I go out backcountry skiing. Between skiing, rock climbing, travel and casual wear, I've put over 400 days on a single pair of Synchros and they are still going strong."

Great Pants
GREAT PANTS! I didn't take them off for 7 days straight. They breathe very well, shed water and snow superbly. Used them in cold conditions, low teen's and high winds with just a baselayer underneath, and in warm, 40 degrees and sunny, vented, with a baselayer underneath. These are the best pants and I'd recommend them to anyone going into the mountains when it's chilly.
Great
Sizing is true, don't expect these to be too warm! They do cut wind decently though and are solidly waterproof. If you want something warm get some insulation!
Great Soft Shell Pants, but hard to size
These are very nice pants --- typical Mountain Hardwear quality. They are made of Synchro fabric, which is a waterproof, breathable soft shell designed for back country hiking and alpine climbing. They would serve well as an ice climbing pant as well. I ended up returning them because they are a weird size for me. I am 5'9'', and the mediums were too small at the waist, and the large were too long in the inseam. I usually buy off the rack pants sized 33 waist and 30-31 inseam. The mediums were snug at the waist and did not fit well if wearing a base layer. The large was good at the waist, but way too long of an inseam. If these fit, however, you cannot go wrong with these as climbing pants.
Worked well
Seems to work great, good ski pants for cold conditions with a solid baselayer.
