Awesome New Product Design
These are a great pair of gaiters. I use them for about 35 miles of trail running per week. They have yet to allow even as much as a pebble in thus far. They have also stayed on the heel using the 3M Dual Lock (read as "awesome velcro"). Even in over 18" of snow they did not slip off the heel as I had feared before actually purchasing them. I have run over 300 miles so far and there is no sign of wear.

Am Looking Elsewhere
Just got these gaiters in SMALL and I have a euro size 42/men's 9 trail shoe. I love the fit, look, and design, but as soon as I saw that they are attached the heel with sticky velcro, I was skeptical. Tried them anyway, as MH has a lifetime warranty. Installed by firmly pressing the "dual locks" into place, waited 48 hours before use, and voila! Worked fabulous while running through sloppy, splashy mud and high, wet weeds. Kept my feet mostly dry and cool, though I did notice my ankles were sweating some. They feel pretty comfortable overall. However, they failed after first stream crossing. No glue holds when wet, so either make these darn things H2O proof or configure a different set up for securing the the heel. For $35, I think more than 4 (enough for 2 pairs of shoes) supply of the glue strips is more realistic, since I lost both the first outing. Bummer. Will contact MH about options.
