Best of the Mesa's
These convertible pants are the most comfortable and easy to use that I've found. The waist band has no elastic making them as comfortable as they are. The legs detach easily and even without a zippered lower leg they slide right over the biggest of boots but aren't "bell bottoms" when attached. It's very easy to reattach the legs if the weather turns foul in the middle of your trip, it takes about a minute. I prefer this Mesa model to the newer version because of the ample cargo pockets for stowing the little extra's.

Great hiking/trekking pants
Very lightweight and comfortable pants. Breath well and have plenty of pockets. The convertible legs are nice, but I feel the zipper ridge more on these than other convertibles I own. They're also more form-fit--not as loose. The built-in belt is a great feature. Wish they had an elastic waist. Overall a great pair of hiking pants, if you like a snug fit--which I do.

These are the ideal trail pants. They are lightweight but extremely durable. I'm 6'2" with a 36/38 waist and the XL fit me perfectly. The leg and hip pockets could be a little deeper but they get the job done.

Excellent pants!
These are a great lightweight, fast drying convertible pants. I think they will be great for international traveling. I am 5'9" and about 130lbs. and bought the small regulars. They are a little tighter than I normally wear, but they are comfortable and look great. I love the draw cord around the ankles, so no worries about stepping on the heel of the pants if barefoot. Altrec is great to deal with and I'll be ordering more from them very soon.

Brilliantly designed! I am 5'6 at 150 lbs. I bought these in a size SMALL REGULAR I am a triathlete who is active in the outdoors. This pant is versatile for all activities. I find them comfy for casual wear, hiking, rock climbing, and cycling around town (they have an elastic adjustable draw string at the bottom of the pant cuff that allows you to pull the pant up and stay in place without zipping it off.) These pants are more form fitting and not baggy. They look and feel amazing. I have purchased pants from most of the major outdoor brands and have found these to be the best by far. So much so that I ended up purchasing all available colors. Been wearing them for 3 months and am sooooooo happy I purchased that first pair. I am not one to recommend items but I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this pant.
