Great gloves - a touch snug and stiff, but dry and warm
I've got long fingers and large hands and the large fits, but just. They're a bit snug to get into, but once in them they are awesome. They're somewhat stiff, but I think they'll break in nicely. The gauntlet has an ingenious two color strap system to tighten and loosen - you just pull the appropriate colored cord and it's either tightened or easily opened. Very dry - spent a rainy/snowy/sleety day on the Muir snowfields at Rainier in 30MPH winds and never got wet or cold hands.

Warm and well made
I bought this glove after trying the Typhon. I have cold hands, and so found the latter glove a disappointment for warm (though very good dexterity). The Medusa is noticeably warmer. The Windblocker liner has much better immediate tactile sense of warmth than the Typhon's liner. It also has a better fit. Regarding overall fit, BOTH gloves are cut too small. I am pretty skinny (7-8% fat), 185lb @ 6-3. An XL just fit in both. If you have meaty hands I question if either will be roomy enough. The Medusa has a wear layer in the fingers that make them not quite as flexible as they could be. Thus a bit more pre-curve would help. I suspect they will soften with use. The gauntlet is very well made, has the perfect stiffness to hold its form and not sluff down. The little pull tabs on the liner cuff is slick; it lets you pull on the gloves more easily by your thumb grabbing that tab. While a small detail it helps. Overall, these are very nice gloves. Should last for years. Thus far, in use to mid-20s, they have been very warm. Goatskin has very good grip, straps are easily worked with gloves on, and appearance is very good too (but a tad less "puffy" than the image shown indicates). These are keepers.

Great glove
I've been using these gloves for almost 2 months now, sometimes in very wet conditions, and it has held up great - very waterproof and warm. The removable liner glove is a nice feature, particularly when using the gloves in warmer conditions. One downside to the liner glove is the velcro on both sides - don't wear just the liner gloves with a fleece jacket or you'll find it frequently getting stuck to your fleece jacket. But that is a minor issue for an otherwise fantastic glove. Looking forward to using these gloves more once the winter season is in full swing.

Not as warm as I'd hoped
Bought these to use for snowboarding in the hope that they would be more durable than regular snowboarding gloves (Burton, Dakine) which never last more than 2 seasons for me. After one full season they seem to be holding up well with no noticeable signs of wear. they have all of the features I look for in a snowbaording glove : long gauntlets, arm/wrist lanyard, cinch closures around the wrist and gaunlet and removable liners. The one big issue I found, however, was that they are nowhere near as warm as I expected and my hands were a little cold on the ski lift on my first day wearing them, which was not an especially cold day. Problem seems to be with the liner which is a failry thein fleece which although it seems like it might have some windproof properties is has little pile. I solved the problem by replacing the liner with the liner from an old worn out pair of Burton gloves which have a much heavier pile.

Is it so wrong to expect better from MH?
I bought the Medusa based on two things: product reviews by other Altrec customers and my past experience with Mountain Hardwear prodcts. So was I disappointed that the gloves did not quite reach my expectation when I put it through a mild rigor during a recent ski trip. The Good. Medusa offers a number of great features. The gloves have full gauntlets that come all the way over my jacket sleeves. The palm and fingers are covered in very supple leather that remains so even after getting wet. The outer layer is bonded with water proof layer called Out/Dry, and the inside the outer shell is lined with Thinsulate-like material. Medusa also includes a separate inner gloves made out of fleece and softshell material. Beside the lanyards to keep you from losing the gloves, there are two pull-tabs that constrict and open the gauntlets with the gloves on--probably the best feature of this glove. Now the Bad. Medusa is not as warm as I expected. The gloves did not breathe as well as I had hope for and my finger tips were cold while on the ski lift due to condensation. Additionally the inner gloves were not as comfortable as some of my other gloves due to sewing on seams. So, would I recommend this gloves.....may be.
