Form fitting
Great, high quality jacket. Tons of cool bells and whistles like special internal shoulder linings. However, it is very trim fitting, so layering is next to impossible. Don't know if it is warm or not. Loved the look and the appearance of quality, but had to return even though on sale.

Mountain Hardwear Kramer
I am extremely pleased with the kramer. I was looking for a jacket that I could layer since I cross-country ski and I walk the dog no matter weather we have in Michigan. When worn alone, the Kramer is a great wind block, and I stay dry even in the pouring rain. In colder weather, I wear the mountain hardwear fleece octans jacket as an under layer. What a great combination! These two jackets fit nicely together. More importantly, I stay warm and dry. I am a men's medium and about 155 lbs. The jackets fit me perfectly. Both my wife and my 22 year old son compliment how nicely I look in these jackets. Thank you Mountain Hardwear and the helpful recommendations from Altrec.

Love Mountain Hardware Soft shells
I was given A Mountain Hardware soft shell several years ago as a gift and soon came to feel it was the best foul weather jacket I had ever owned. It's beginning to wear out, so I replaced it with the Kramer jacket on faith, only having seen it on line. I have only had it a few days, but have been able to put it to the test with the weather here lately. It seems at least as good, and very likely better, than the jacket I replaced. Highly recommended.

Just what I was looking for....
Wore the Kramer jacket for the first time this past weekend during a snowstorm that is still pummelling the greater Arnold, CA area as I write. Did a lot of snow shoveling in nothing but a short sleeve tshirt underneath this jacket and it was perfectly breathable, more than warm enough and did not let a drop of moisture in. Unfortunately we did not get to do any skiing, but I can imagine this would've performed flawlessly as a ski jacket I was looking for a slimmer fitting jacket that I could layer under, as needed, and this fit the bill. I am 5'10"", 155lbs. I typically wear a medium in all my shirts/sewaters/jackets/etc and they tend to fit tight across my chest. I tried layering with either a wool zipneck or fleece performance layer and neither made it tight enough to restrict movement. most of the time, in 20 degree weather, it was actually too warm with anything other than the short sleeve tee underneath. Overall the quality seems top notch, but then again, I've only worn it once. I would buy this again in a heartbeat. Thanks much to Altrec for rushing this order out to me in time for the trip this weekend.

Terrific technical jacket!
This is a great shell with terrific pit zips, great powder skirt and hood big enough for a helmet. I normally wear medium at 5'10", 170 but ordered this in a large. The large fits well and allows sufficient room for laying with good shoulder room. The jacket has a great collar for those cold days (soft inside around the face).
