After sizing mishap, perfection.
I took my measurements and was between a size small and a medium. Thinking I should size up for the sake of layering, I purchased a medium. When it arrived, it fit like a sweatshirt, with no room underneath for layering. I've never been a large in anything, but for this jacket a large fit me perfectly. Just a heads up: it will fit snugly if you order true-to-size. As for the jacket, it is perfect. Lightweight, great wind protection, and very warm. In MN this week we have had -20 temps with windchill pushing -40, and this jacket with a light hoodie underneath was plenty warm. It has all the little details you want and none that you don't. The pockets are great, zippers seem very high quality and are nicely sealed. The inner pockets are great and well placed. The hood(which itself is nicely insulated) has great adjustment that is easy and simple. Great jacket, I would recommend it to anyone living and playing in the cold.
Lives up to reputation
I read about this jacket in the annual Outside Magazine review. It exceeded my expectations. I was looking for a hard shell with a little insulation, a hood that would cover a helmet and waterproofing that would hold up to wet powder. The jacket was all that and has the great MH looks.
Nice Jacket But Go A Size Small
Killer jacket. Nice and light but runs huge. I normally wear an xl (5 10" 185lbs) in just about all North Face and Mountain Hardwear but I'd go a large with the Gravitor.
