A Wonderful Gear
A waterproof and breathable hardshell. It's not so tough as i thought before. I think it is a wonderful gear for hiking on a cold day.
Great Performance Shell
I usually wear an XL, but I bought an XXL in this jacket to wear over my down Mountain Hardware Subzero coat for mountaineering. Although the length of the arms is slightly too long, the rest of the jacket fits perfectly. The gore-tex performance shell material is amazing. I have yet to get wet in any of California's winter rains, and the breathability is great when I am active in the cold. I look forward to taking on any weather in this jacket; I am most please with this purchase.
great quality, but size runs too small
I purchased this jacket for my son. Hi is slim guy and wears small in most of the spots ware brands, but this jacket fits very tight even without any warm layers. So unfortunately I will have to send it back.
great purchase
I was looking for a solid gortex jacket at a good price and I could not be happier with this purchase. This jacket held up well on the slopes in bitter and windy conditions and looks good as casual wear on a cold day as well. You can't go wrong with this jacket. Note that the image for the black jacket is slightly misleading; the black jacket is uniformly dark.
jacket fit
I have found that the sizes vary greatly for Mountain Hardwear. I ordered the Kramer jacket in xl and it was a little small so I ordered the Escape jacket to replace it thinking the fit in xxl would be good based on the other jacket. It was not, the xxl was huge in comparison. So back goes both jackets.
