Warm but Bulky Bootie
Awesome booties, very, very warm and sturdy; feels like they will hold up for a long time, but the instep and upper adjustment cord clasps could be better. There is no spring loaded clasp only a friction clasp so you have to pull and stretch the elastic to its limit every time you want to tighten or loosen the booties so I dont see the elastic keeping its elasticity very long. I plan on picking up some spring loaded clasps and cutting off the friction ones that came on the booties. They are a pretty wide bootie, slightly bulky even - so dont plan on doing anything in them other than sitting, walking from your tent to the fire, or sleeping. I first picked up a pair of TNF Tent Booties III, but then returned them when I saw the MH Compressor Bootie. The MH Bootie is much wider and bulkier than the TNF Bootie but it didnt bother me enough to return them. The MH Compressor PL Pant goes nicely pulled over the bootie or tucked inside of it. Overall a very good bootie.
