The Ultimate Flyer is an elegant, hand-made beauty that glides and turns like no other sled youve ever tried. The entire front section of the sled pivots, letting you make much sharper turns than on a conventional flexible flyer. And, it looks great standing on the porch in between sled runs. The Flyer is made to last for generations: thick birch planks, hand-carved willow hand rails and stainless-steel hardware make it tough, and the sturdy plastic skids on the bottom are designed to last for many years. When we build an Ultimate Flyer, we start with planks of beautiful, golden birch. We plane down the planks, sand them, burn in the Mountain Boy brand, and give every piece several coats of marine-grade finish. We attach hand rails of hand-carved willow, giving each sled a unique look and feel. Copper ferrules between the body of the sled and the rails add to the rustic look, while adding substantial strength. Just how strong -- well, some of our crazier fans take them off 6' jumps and see how much airtime they can get. On the bottom of the sled we attach a pair of proprietary, custom-molded plastic skids. We like to think of them as greased lightning -- they are very fast, but their shape allows for smooth, decisive turning. Contoured runners bite into the snow or ice so you can carve down hard-packed slopes, while a solid bottom of custom-molded slippery plastic lets the sled float through soft snow. The Ultimate Flyer meets all ASTM and USC child safety criteria. Measures 47"L x 24"W x 4"H. Patent-pending. Weight limit: 300 lbs. Age range: 3 years+

Awesome!
The name says it all, its really cool! Its really gorgeous, it goes fast, and other sledders were asking to try it out when they saw how fast and smooth we were going. Its really easy to steer and you can ride it on your stomach or sitting up, so the kids have a blast riding it! Best product I've seen in a while!
Great gift
We live in an area that gets lots of snowfall, so this is the perfect sled. Easy to pull up the hill, super easy to steer (can do a hockey stop!) and its gorgeous! We had our name engraved so it'll be a keepsake with our family for many years! We haven't had any issues with the bottom runners (car bumper-like plastic material) even going over jumps or hitting a few rocks. We love it!
Snow and Had no Sled
OK, I'm 62 and live in Mississippi. It snowed 8" and all I could do was sit and enjoy it. Determined not to be without a sled when it snow this much in 10 years again I started reseaching sleds. This is the one. Look all you want be this baby has been reccomended more than any other and sold out in most places. I decided to order and put on the wall in my home office. Looks great and the next snow will be taken on by my sled. Great service after it arrived and one of the side runners was broken. They sent a new set in days. Got a spare now.
