Great shoe for low arches
My podiatrist had me buy the Montrail Hardrock shoes because they are a stiff and solid shoe. The shoes keep my feet in place, something I need for my low arches and weak ankle. I've been wearing this style for 3-4 years now and am sad that it has been discontinued. I'm going to have to stock up on this style until I can find a good replacement. I wear these shoes everyday. They're a great trail shoe too. These are not a cold weather shoe so wear thick wool socks in the winter.

I love these shoes!!!
They were recommended to me for hiking shoes and they are terrific. Can't say enough good about them.
