Waterpro
Very light weight, great for summer time, stylish, can be worn with or without socks, thin soles so you feel everything (rocks), good for short hikes. Anti-microbial finish doesn't work, they will smell if not dried right after use. Dries overnight.

Good drainage but not for full spectrum Canyoneering
If your main recreation is light hiking and/or a shoe that will drain water(boat shoe) then this product is for you. If you do serious canyoneering, look to something from 5/10. I need a size 15 so 5/10 is out for me. The Merrell shoe is too flimsy to comfortably handle long/steep downclimbing (dirt-ski)and upclimbing of dirt/rock or navigating the mess left by an avalanch (rocks and trees piled 10 feet high). I wished for that 5/10 sticky rubber going up the 7 Tea Cups on the Kern. I'm goingto grind the bottoms and glue on 5/10 dot rubber as an improvement. I' still looking for a better shoe for the active big foot.

Merrell Waterpro Maipo
These shoes are amazing!!! Great for hiking and for around water use, they dry off very quickly. These are the best all around shoes I've ever had. I would recommend them to anyone!

The Merrell Waterpro shoes have been great.
Have been wearing Teva sandals for years. Was looking for an H2o full shoe alternative that didn't feel like i was wearing hiking boots without socks. The Merrell Waterpro shoes have been great. They are very light weight, but still took a few days of full wear to conform to my foot without friction spots. Nonetheless, they feel great now and perform well both in the stream and on the trail.

What a nice looking shoe! These shoes are great. They are not heavy when wet, they dry quickly and are nice enough to go to a casual restaurant after a day of land and water activities. I highly recommend them.
