Very heavy, very warm!
I've taken this bag out for some spring camping in Montana. The 0 degree rating is very real; I sleep warm and I have had to sleep with it partially unzipped. It's heavier and bulkier than an equivalent down bag, but it packs reasonably small in the included stuff sack. I had a little trouble wedging it into the sleeping bag compartment of my pack. It just barely fit. The DWR seems real enough to keep any condensation or moisture from penetrating into the insulation. It's a great bag for the price.
this sleeping bag is incredibly warm and cozy. i keep it in my car all winter (along with shovel, food, headlight, etc...) as i travel a lot for work. I love the left-handed option. would definitely recommend.
A bit bulky, but very warm!
I got a new sleeping bag that I planned on taking out into the wilderness. This bag is very warm and works well for colder temps, buts its bulkiness makes me want to pack some thermals and use a smaller 'breadloaf' style bag. If you're looking for something that's really warm in cold temperatures, this one works well. However, as I said, if you're looking for something that can be transported easier, this bag may not be for you. That's the only real problem I have with it; of course, I think I'm spoiled by the smaller bag I have so maybe I have some pre-built-in biases. ;-) I will say, though, that this one is far warmer than the other. Basically, it comes down to what you're looking for. With sleeping bags, for me at least, size v. warmth is a battle when making the decision.
