one great rain jacket
The Exum is all that it claims to be.....a great rain jacket. I highly recommend it. If it is ever redesigned, I might ask for side pockets a little lower and more comfortable to put your hands in, but the pockets that exist work well. Buy it!
Very light wind/rain/snow-proof jacket
Can't get over how light this jacket is. Wore this jacket in NYC during the snow storm of Dec 2010. With a fleece interior and the Marmot jacket, my upper body was very warm and dry but noticed that my legs were starting to get cold. I'm 5"6" 135 lbs. For a dress shirt, I'm a 15-15.5 neck, 32-33 length. The "small" Marmot jacket is a little loose but with a fleece lining, it fits. Love my jacket and don't mind running out in the wet wintry conditions.
marmot exum jacket
i had a marmot expedition goretex jacket that i bought 20 years ago and used it in the winters of alaska and in the winters climbing the white mountains. the jacket was terrific and this past weekend got to use the exum in a rainstorm in the white mountains. the jacket performed brillantly. the pro goretex is a great improvement over my older jacket , lighter, less bulk. greater breathability. so glad of the purchase with altrec
Very nice
Went to a Sounders FC game with my wife and it rained on us. Her "rainproof" jacket was wet on the inside by the time the game was over, mine was not. Now, the rain was off and on during the game, not a straight down pour for 90 minutes. The jacket seems very warm as well. It got warm while just sitting in a brewpub waiting for a table. Had to take it off to cool down. Very comfortable as well.
Excellent jacket
The Marmot Exum performs very well in cold snowy weather. The hood is versatile enough to regulate the wind and your body temperature while the Gore-Tex material keeps the wind and wet away. The only problem I have had has been with the zipper. It works fine but the material is stiff and it is hard to get it into position to zip with mittens on.
