Industrial Jacket
This is a functional, no frills jacket. It seems more for bumming around than anything technical. I would say that it is more of a "barn coat" and in my case, it will replace my old worn out Carhartt. It is marketed as being something extremely warm. NOT! Ever been to North Dakota or Siberia? For a simple jacket to toss on your back and head to the pub for a beer, this thing cannot be beat. If you are in between sizes, I would suggest buying the larger size.

Solid Jacket
Purchased the butte to replace one of my all time fav. marmot coats. The butte fit fairly true to my older coat but a little smaller in the chest. The shell was on piece, meaning it did not have the classic stitching of other insulator style jackets. For me personally I like the stitching. If the jacket was slightly bigger in chest and had a little more design it would be perfect. Marmot has always made stand up items.
