made it through iraq hot summer and was great. Sand dust dirt mud rocks it stood up to all this and passed with flying colors. Highly recommend
Wish they came in wide. A little tight. Awesome product. There was NO break in period needed. Strong and sturdy yet comfortable.
Ultra-light, no break-in, all-purpose boot
Being a former operator in the Marines I know the value of a good boot. The Zephyr is everything you want in a good boot. It's light enough to wear everyday and even use for maritime ops. It has excellent support. It has the sole material wrap up over the toe area so you don't rub through the leather when you're climbing. I wear the things in a t-shirt and jeans because they're so dang comfortable. Not only that but they also look really aggressive and cool. BUT, there are some things that I would change-1.Shoelaces suck, it's like they were spun out of yak hair and they were cut 12" too short. 2.They come in almost a full size smaller than advertised. If you're going to wear with regular socks, go a half-size bigger, big wool boot socks, full size. 3. They don't have water purge holes on the sides. Not extremely necessary, but it would help a bit.
Light, comfortable boot
This boot is really light and has better ankle support than similar boots. Your heel sits against the back of the boot and doesn't move around a lot. They run a little small, hopefully some of the padding will compress. I wear an 11.5, got a 12 and it is still pretty tight. I would not consider this a heavy duty hiking boot, but a really nice assault boot.
