Excellent shoe
The TC Pro is built off a Katana base with added padding around the top of the shoe and ankle protection. I bought these to use as my all day trad shoe and I have not been disappointed in this regard. TC Pros jam into cracks, thin and wide, like no other. What I was surprised to learn is how well the shoes edge. Its not a precise nor sensitive as my Miuras but its pretty damn close. For sizing, I wear a 44 in Miura and get a perfect slightly crunched toe fit. In TC Pro, a 44.5 gives me a nice flat toe fit without being too loose in the heel.
Great all around shoe
I got this shoe to replace my outdoor/trad shoes (La Sportiva Tradmasters) (and to hopefully provide a little ankle support for an injury). I wear about a size 10 in regular shoes, and bought a 44. So far, I have only used this shoe indoors to break it in and test it. This shoe is amazing comfortable, supportive, feels almost like it's already broken in, and I was surprised at how aggressive this shoe is. (Since Tommy's doing multi-pitch/trad 5.14's with hit, I guess indoor/sport 5.11's are no big deal.) The materials, fit, and breadth of this shoe are unparalleled. I've tried several different climbing shoes, and this is simply the best shoe I've climbed in to date. It's WAY better than the Tradmaster.
Quality Contruction
Received shoe & too small. Looks great. I'm exchanging for a larger pair. Can't wait to get these into a an old school Valley OW.
