Komperdell Women's C3 Airshock Trekking Poles feature ultra-light carbon fiber shafts and a pneumatic dampening system for superior anti-shock performance. Compared to standard men's models, these poles are more lightweight, shorter in length and feature a grip that is slimmer and more comfortable for women or men with smaller hands. C3 Carbon Airshock Compact poles weigh a mere 13.54 ounces per pair!

Nice Poles, Couple of Problems
These are my second pair of Komperdell trekking poles designed specifically for women. I bought them so I could lend my first pair to my sister for a 3-day hike we were doing together, and were both happy with our Komperdells. Normally I don't really like to use the spring system in trekking poles, but with these, it takes alot of pressure to move the "shocks" so, I guess you're only getting the benefit of the shocks when you really need them. As for the weight, even though they were a couple ounces lighter than my older poles, I couldn't really tell the difference, even after three days of hiking. For someone who really counts ounces, I would recommend these for their lightness, but I was hoping I could sense more of a difference. Two design flaws I've encountered--one of the poles is difficult to lock into it's desired length. It takes way too many turns to get it to lock. The other is that the top of the handles is a harder plastic than the foamy grips, and got dinged up around the edges. The dings are uncomfortable under my fingers, so I'm thinking I could sand them down. Not sure if it's worth returning/exchanging, as so far, the problems are minor, and the poles are pretty great otherwise.
