Great as dry suit
If you already have a dry top and can't shell out the bucks for a suit, these are the next best thing. Seveal of us use these and if you roll the top and the inner skirt together good than it would take a long swim before you take of much if any water. Material seems to hold up well to rocks and trees on the hike in. Only down side is using the bathroom takes longer than standard dry pants. Good stuff.
Great product
I have used the whirlpool bibs for kayaking and they work great. Paired with a dry top they have kept me warm and dry. Works best for kayaking as the skirt covers and seals the seam where the top and bottom meet together. Without a skirt, not so good.
Good Purchase!
Bought these for my husband for ocean kayaking. He really likes them paired with a dry top for warmer days when we are touring without much wave play. I may buy a pair for myself!
A Good Set of Bibs
Definitely good for their intended duty of keeping water out. They are comfortable, and since they are made by Kokatat, they will probably last forever. But man would it be nice to have a potty zipper. When you are doing a whole day of kayaking / rafting, it is a real pain to have to deal with relieving yourself. Kokatat makes a pair of bibs with zipper and booties, but is made out of Gore-Tex and almost $400 more. But overall, a good product, that I have recommended to several people. Make sure you mate them to your drytop correct though.
