A quality three-season backpacking tent that's both easy to pitch and easy on your outdoor budget.
Excellent for backpacking, climbing and light car camping, Kelty's Teton 2 tent is a superb tent design that's light on your wallet without being light on features. With 31 square feet of floor space and a packed weight of less than 5 lbs., the Teton 2 tent offers specs that are similar to higher priced backpacking and minimalist tents. The big cost-effective difference is the single door entrance and 7001 aluminum DAC Pressfit poles. The dual-pole design is structurally rugged and has been around for years, but it's slightly heavier than the ultra-refined tent poles that you usually find on higher priced tents. Everything else about the Teton 2 Tent is on par with the best in the outdoor industry, including taped floor seams and Kelty's Water TightWall enhancements for optimal weather protection. Because the ceiling has large mesh area along the crest, the Teton 2 offers exceptional venting between the walls and waterproof tent fly, although this extra airflow can be uncomfortable on frosty mornings (that's why it's a three-season tent). Kelty added a color-coded clip construction that's easy to figure out, even if you don't have time to look at pitching instructions. If you like the price and features but you're looking for a tent for your family of four (or you and a couple of big pets) check out Kelty's Teton 4 Tent, if you need two doors, Kelty's Gunnison 2 has dual escape hatches and a little more room all the way around.

Amazing little tent!
This is a great tent for the price, there are obviously many options when it comes to tents in this size - but none that provides more bang for the buck than this tent here. For the most part you wont find anything cheaper with this kind of quality! It easily contains my wife (5'4" 120) myself (5'10" 235) and the vestibule holds... well 1 large pack or two small packs and some trekking poles and boots. The colors are a little ugly, but performance is top notch!
Great Little Tent
Very easy to set up and seems roomy for one person. The zipper on the door seems to be the only area of concern - time will tell if it holds up or not.
Teton 2 is a Good Tent
Kelty makes several nice backpacking tents that are budget minded. On my Teton 2, I was pleased with the lightweight aluminum poles and the ease of using the clips to set it up. I'm 6'-2" and it's barely long enough inside, but I'll sleep diagonal. The side entrance is a very nice feature. There is a lot of good ventilation screening under the fly, so condensation should be minimized. I also bought the footprint, but have yet to figure out exactly how it attaches to the tent corners. I would definitely recommend it.
good tent
while 2 people can sleep in here, you certainly can't fit the gear for both people. I rented this tent for a 3 night trip with cars; it was pretty good. I could set it up by myself in the dark.
