Excellent Support
This boot runs true to size while wearing a heavy sock. Great cushion and support. My feet stay put in the boot and don't slide around. I would recommend this boot to others.
Great Boots
I love these boots. Great footbed and toe room. You can put them on a starting hiking. Keen is the only boot I will purchase and the Pyrenees are light weight, water proof and extremely comfortable. Great for backpacking and hiking.
Women's Pyrenees Hiking Boots
These are the greatest hiking boots. I am very hard to fit because I have a wide foot, and Keen Pyrenees give me the extra width I need and I also appreciate the high top because it gives me extra ankle support and it feels so secure and its like an extension of my leg. I am ready to buy my second pair. I hope these boots are always available. Thank You for your service. Colleen
Good, sturdy boot
These boots felt comfortable out of the box. I've worn them on numerous hiking trips .. boulders, scree, muck, ice .. and they've held up great and kept my feet dry. Love the toe "stub feature. My only complaint is the laces don't stay tight around the ankles. Now .. if Keen would only make a boot with the "crank" tightening feature I wouldn't have to take off gloves to tighten the laces.
Awesome boots even out of the box
I wore these out of the box for an hour walk around town because the following day I was doing a VERY rocky 15.5 mile hike in northeastern PA. After using them around town I felt completely comfortable trying them for an all day hike on the trail. They're very comfortable and Keens fit perfectly to my feet. These have enough flex and bend to not be obstructive or heavy and bulky. I was looking to add a boot to my wardrobe as I currently only have Merrell Moab Ventilators. Those aren't enough for these kinds of rocks and hikes longer than 8 miles. The Keen boots were fantastic and my feet and toes felt completely fine by the end of the day, something I had never experienced before. The one and only problem I experienced was ankle soreness. I've never worn boots before and I had a tremendous amount of pain - bruising and swelling around the tops of my ankles from the tops of the boots because of the extremely rocky terrain. I thought I had the laces loose enough but obviously not. I went out again three days later to hike 13 miles - the most notoriously rocky section along the entire Appalachian Trail. I kept the top eyehole open completely and had the boots tied as loose as possible. This helped but the terrain got the best of me again and my ankles were trashed in the end. I'm sure it will take time for my ankles and my boots to get used to each other but because I am so satisfied with everything else about this product, I would never consider returning them. They're perfect and everything I was looking for in a sturdy boot without being too much. I've also tried Keen Genoa Peak shoes, Vasque Mantra mids, and another pair of Merrells that I wasn't happy with. These blow them all out of the water.
