These boots felt great as soon as I put them on.
There was no break-in period with these boots. They were comfortable & felt well-worn right out of the box.

oddly narrow in the toe for keen's
i really wanted these boots to work for me! they have a good look and great features, but i found the area of the base of the toe to be rather narrow, and the heel to be rather wide. i wear a LOT of styles of keen shoes, from sandals to hikers to anything in-between, and have had this problem one other time, with the targhee, when they first came out, years ago (they made my toes feel sort of numb on long walks). so, for fear these might feel the same, i returned them, reluctantly. if you like a narrower-toed shoe than most keens, these would be for you.
