Nice look, but hard and stains your feet!
Since love Keens, I recently purchased this model for a more formal affair I anticipated. They do run small, but insignificantly for me. The bigger problem is that they are quite hard, what is surprising for Keen even with new shoes. The other issue is quite embarrassing. These (I bought a pair in black) will stain you feet or socks and black dye is hard to wash off. If you go somewhere where you have to remove you shoes (I visited a friend who has a no-shoe policy) make sure you wear black nylon socks/stockings.
Odd sizing, but adorable!
Having just received a pair of Clifton Loafers that fit great 2 days earlier, I was sure the "order 1/2 size up" claims wouldn't apply - the Ballerinas felt smaller in both width and length but a stretching at the shoe repair made a big difference. Still not sure if a 1/2 size bigger would be right for me, but they are the perfect show I've been looking for! Kudos to Keen for making shoes I can wear to work as well as on the weekends!
Order half size up
I didn't take the advice and ordered my usual 6.5 but they are too small. I just returned them and placed a new order for a pair of size 7s. I hope they fit. The shoes are very cute.
Order 1/2 size up even over regular keen sizes
I would echo "Not a good fit for me" I am in the process of returning my 9 1/2's for a size 10. I have four other pairs of keen athletic shoes/sandals and one pair of slip on sandals and all were 9 1/2 but the toe box does seem short. Otherwise they seem great!
Not a good fit for me
I love Keens because they are so comfortable. I was excited to find a Keen shoe that looked dressy enough for work. Unfortunately, the Clifton didn't fit me well at all. The toe box seems too short and my feet slide forward to rub against the top of the shoe. My other Keens have always been comfortable right out of the box. I don't like shoes that have to be broken in. Perhaps these would have become more comfortable with wear, but for the price I didn't want to take the chance. I returned them.
