The Women's Butte Hiking Shoes from Keen is a lightweight hiking shoe that features an open, hydrophobic mesh design for walking in and around water environs. Perfect for a one way trip down the Zion Narrows , this water-friendly shoe combines a classic KEEN open-air styling that sieves excess water with a supportive synthetic leather wrapped breathable mesh upper for moving quickly through the water course and up the canyon walls. Light underfoot, the Buttes S3 heel cushion along with its soft flex TPU stone bruising plate provide heavyweight impact protection, while a static-drawstring lacing system makes it easy to slip them on and off. The Butte has a non-marking rubber outsole if they become comfort melded to your foot upon reaching home.

Women's Keen Butte Hiking Sandal
Great light weight hiker for summer. They accommodate my orthotics easily, which is hard to find.
Butte Hiking Shoes
I was so excited about getting the Keen hiking shoes. They arrived in great condition and quite quickly. I really liked the color - Peppercorn/Regal Orchid. They appeared to be well made, with strong stitching and a sturdy sole. They did not fit my feet, which sadened me greatly. Returning them was no trouble. I look forward to ordering from this company again.
Make my feet sweat!
I ordered these shoes because I wanted an open shoe that had a solid back on it to support my heel cup. I do love the look of the shoe, it is supportive and does everything I wanted it to do, however they make my feet sweat and that can feel uncomfortable at times.
Not for wide feet!
I love Keen shoes, and I especially like how every one of their styles I have tried fits me well, even though I have wider feet. I ordered these because they looked very sturdy and yet lightweight. However, because the cuff of the shoe (around the ankle area) is one solid piece, I can barely get my foot into it, even after opening the pull-tab fully. So, for me they are extremely hard to get in and out of. But once on, very comfortable. I don't usually write reviews, but I wanted other customers to be aware of this issue, in case they are in the same situation as me.
Not highly recommended shoe
I ordered these shoes for my daughter for a canoeing trip. The back ankle strap is not adjustable in any way and was too loose so it rubbed her terribly - leaving large blisters. Since heel and ankle widths vary greatly, this shoe should have a way to adjust to the wearer's size. A fixed ankle strap size just does not serve the utility, performance or comfort of this shoe well. I expected better from a shoe that is this costly.
