Great Boots!
These boots fit great. I took the advice from other reviews and ordered them a half size larger. They fit perfectly. I wore them for a mile walk as soon as I got them. They were very comfortable right out of the box. I am very pleased.
Best snow boots for my tired feet
Very well made, comfortable even in cold weather 15 - 20 degrees F with only thin cotton socks, and the height is perfect for my 68 inch frame. I always need shoes that have a wide enough toe box, support for a high arch and yet a narrow heel; these Keens fit the bill. I'm normally a Keen 9 in Newport sandals, but went for the boots in 9.5....fit just fine and have some room for thick socks and my pant legs. I've used them on a few occasions and look forward to the next winter's snows without fear of discomfort when I'm shoveling snow from around the car or trekking in snow drifts.
Look Great and Functional! Awesome Boots!
These boots are amazing. They look even better in person than they do online. They could be worn to shovel, work outdoors, or out on the streets. Very durable and user friendly. Can still slip them on and off. Could wade through a creek and no water on socks. Come up just high enough but not too high about right above the calf on a short guy 5'8".Bottem Line: These are sweet boots.
Primo Snow Boot!
Keen`s Alaska Snow Boot is THE one to be wearing when it`s cold and snowing! This boot is comfortable, has speed lacing and IS WARM. It was -4 here in Aspen this am and my feet were toasty! I like this boot for cold, snowy conditions and it looks good too! For comfort, you must order it a whole size larger than your normal Keen size. It is a Primo snow boot!
These boots are the best kept secret.
These boots are totally awesome when looking at them! They have style yet maintain that manly "Grrrr-ness" you want in a man's boot. The leather on these boots is thicker than I expected. I was pleasantly surprised and look forward to breaking them in. Laces as I can tell are of very solid construction. They are stiff yet have some flexibility in the sole while walking around in them. I can't wait for the big snow, which will be my first Minnesota snow.... A few things could be upgraded. First, the lining inside does not come out for drying. this is a bummer, I was hoping they would be like the Sorel's in this department. But these are supposed to have a higher warm rating than the Sorel Caribou's. Second, they run very small. I would say buy a whole size bigger than you are used to.
