Great fit
I purchased these shoes for my wife to wear on an upcoming trip. While she decided to return them for a lighter boot (these are definitely best for alpine climbing pursuits), this is the first boot that she has ever worn that really fit her foot well. We have tried women's specific models from any brands, but this is the first Kayland shoe that we have tried. Her foot type is what I would describe as "triangular" with a narrow heel and somewhat wider forefoot. We will definitely be purchasing Kayland boots for her from now on, they provide a great fit.

Great on ice, snow and rock.
It's always difficult to leave a review for a boot since feet are very different. In general, this is a well-made and professional mountaineering boot which works well on ice, snow, and rock. The sole is very stiff (category C), hence the boot works well with crampons. The boots provide a snug fit and sturdy ankle support. After two week of intense use (glacier and very rocky terrain) the white leather parts of the shoe show some signs of wear (scratches/tears). The boot fitted out of the box and provides a very good fit for narrow feet. Yet, I got the boots half a size too small which I realized when I took my nail polish off after one week: blue toes. If you try on the boot, remember that your feet will expand after a long day and that you need at least 0.5cm space in the front. I also felt pressure on top of my toes especially when walking downhill, I guess it's a matter of size and not of the overall fit. That having said, the boot runs true to size. I am a 37 and got a 37, just for this kind of boot I would have needed extra space for two socks and swelling feet. A big pro of this boot is its breathability. I never had problems with wet feet. It is definitely a 3 season boot, once in a while I did get cold feet on the glacier or while ice climbing in a cave. Again, lacking space in the toebox might have been the problem. In general, this boot is warm enough for summer glacier traveling. Sometimes the laces get stuck in the little "cogwheel" which helps to tighten the lower part of the laces and you have to rip out the laces with force. Slightly annoying. The laces do loosen a bit and have to be adjusted, but not too often. Bottom line: A solid yet very light mountaineering boot especially for narrow feet. For the current prize amazing! Just get the size right.
