comfortable, but lining fails eventually!!
It's a good boot, but E-vent should not be used. E-vent fabric needs to be washed in order for it to continue breathing and you can't just tear it out, wash it and put it back in!! They will be fine for the first few hikes but after that if your feet sweat your feet will remain wet!!

A Stellar fit!
I am a shoe quality stickler. Most companies i know have sold out, or lowered their quality standards. It's been since 1993 since I've found a pair of shoes/boots of this quality and style as the Kayland Vertigos, They fit like a glove.. and breaking in great off & on hard surfaces..grip well on rocks, no water inside so far, and the internal support is excellent. no need for superfeet insert. they look great to boot! The craftsmanship was apparent when i got them. Grateful to kayland for sticking strong to their standars apparently.. and to Altrec for their exceptional service!

Kayland scores big
Hiked all summer in these things - including a hellacious 15 day trip in the Sierra Nevada. My feet were never sore; no blisters. Had a pair of gore-tex lowas that sweated big time, but I sweat much less with the eVent. Note: you MUST keep their DWR coating up to snuff if you want to be comfortable in wet conditions. That's true for pretty much all boots. But overall, highly recommended.
