The Jetboil Flash Stove adds more enjoyment to your favorite outdoor adventure. Like all of Jetboils innovative systems, Flash is an all-in-one design, combining burner and cooking vessel in one compact unit. Everything you need is stacked and stored inside the 1.0 liter cooking cup. The system lights with the click of a button and within two minutes provides two cups of boiling water for cocoa, coffee, instant soup or a gourmet freeze-dried meal. The newly designed burner secures the igniter, protecting it from bumps along the road.

Flash is designed to be one of the safest cooking solutions out there. The cooking cup clips onto the burner, preventing accidental spills, and the fuel canister tripod ensures overall stability. The insulating cozy has a color-changing heat indicator that signals when contents are hot.

Food in a flash
I bought the Flash stove just before heading out on a 4-day backpacking trip in the Enchantments. It worked well at our campsite above 5,000 feet. I like the way all the pieces, including the fuel canister, fit inside the cooking pot. The viewing window that shows when the water's almost boiling is a nice improvement over the older model that I've borrowed from my daughter. The sleeve around the cooking pot is very useful when pouring out boiling water. I didn't use the spoon holder on the sleeve but it might come in handy. I've used (and been frustrated by) all sorts of camp stoves over the past 40 years and am happy to report the Flash is the best of the lot!

It's a JetBoil - Enough said!
You really can't go wrong at all with this setup. Boil water extremely fast and super easy to use. Most of the backpacking I do requires hot water for almost everything and being able to quickly have some in hand is essential. I use the cup for everything, including cooking in it. I've seen a few on the trail without the temperature gauge on the kuzi and nearly every owner has expressed interest in wishing theirs had the same. The fuel is a little more expensive than other brands but because the system in so efficient I will continue to buy Jet Boil fuel just to keep it all matched up. The utensil holder on the outside never seems to get used but that is hardly something to complain about.

Well Thought Out Stove
I never bought a Jet Boil because I thought they were unnecessarily heavy and took up unnecessary volume. Why get a Jet Boil when I have my tiny Pocket Rocket that takes up minimal space? As it turns out, the JB is worth its wait and volume. It's quick, well put together, the built in ignition is wonderful, and the "pot" keeps liquid warm for quite a while. So next trip, load up on the tea, coffee, or soup, take your Jet Boil, and have a warm meal or beverage in minutes.

Great Hiking Stove
This is a great stove, for general 3 season hiking, it is wonderfully designed and very compact and light and easy to carry. Crucially you can boil water for a cup of tea or coffee in 3 minutes in fairly rough conditions without having to to mess around too much.. The convenience and speed of this stove - (no extra pots or pot holders to worry about - just attach the gas canister and light her up) is its greatest benefit - and if I want a stove to grab for a long day hike or overnight this will be my first choice. The only drawback i have found with the stove is that the piezoelectric-electric lighter does not like extremely cold temperatures (below zero F) with very high winds. In these situations i have found it hard to light and had to use windproof matches to get the flame to catch, but any gas stove is going to have difficulties in such conditions anyway. overall though an excellent stove, highly recommended.

Superfast
We use the stove to boil water for coffee and to rehydrate meals. Superfast and lightweight. Good for backpacking when you just need to heat water. Kind of pricey, but worth it.
