Recycled Polyester is an eco-friendly fabric that's light on both the body and the planet. Made from post-industrial waste, this 100% recycled fabric is downproof, windproof, water-repellant and silky-soft to touch. Mother Nature's best insulation, down delivers lofty warmth with minimal weight over a lifetime of use. Tiny filaments on each down cluster make it a unique natural insulator. Millions of these filaments interlock and overlap to form a layer of sill air that keeps warmth in and cold out. Extremely resilient, down can be scrunched up and - with just a good shake - quickly bounce back to its original performance level.

a good jacket with no XS option
I was VERY excited about this jacket when I ordered it and even when I received it. The 100% post- industrial recycled fabric is wonderful (go Isis!) and the style is a beautiful and actually unique one (I especially love the magnetic "buttons") but I wish that it was available in XS. Because it was not, I ordered it in the smallest size available (size 4) and crossed my fingers that "4" would translate to "XS". It did not. This is the only reason that I am returning the jacket. Because it fit more like a medium/small (I am 5'2" and very consistently wear XS) I never even wore it outside and so do not have any sense of its "performance" otherwise. It's a real shame that 4 is the smallest available size becuause it seems like a lovely jacket. Cheers to those who fit in it!
Great jacket
This great jacket has some nice features. I love the hidden magnetic buttons/placket to close after zipping. Neckline is a nice touch. Jacket is lightwieght, but warm.
Nice looking, warm down coat.
The jacket is trim, feminine and warm. The pockets were said to be "velvet lined" but they seem like a thin micro-fleece rather than velvet. Still, they do the trick! My one issue with this jacket is the collar--it seems as though the only way to cinch it down is to use only one of the drawstrings; the other one only pulls a little bit. So you're left with this weird long string hanging down on one side and a short one on the other. I should check to see if that's not just a defect in an otherwise adorable, toasty warm coat. I am 5'6 and 125lbs, I got the size 8 and there is room for a light fleece jacket (the El Cap) or a slim sweater underneath. Definitely a slim fitting coat, but roomy enough for a few layers. Very pretty and flattering!
This jacket is really feminine yet functional. I really liked the style. But it did not work for me because it has an hourglass shape and although this is nice in the upper half and waist of the jacket, at the hip it flares out and is not fitted on me. This would let in drafts and so it would not be warm enough! but it's really soft and the neck/collar is great. If it had a drawcord at the bottom it would have been a keeper. It's not super long either, so better as an around town/casual jacket.
