Measuring yourself along an Urban landscape capped in a soft, cotton cloud cover of an anticipated snow, the Icebreaker Women's Zephyr Hood Sweater rounds the edges of a challenging concrete jungle and hectic travel. Fashioned in 100% soft merino wool embellished with floral embroidery on the left shoulder, this feminine hoody style offers low bulk insulation that is cozy on its own, and super warming when layered under a jacket or shell. It's City 260/Nature Merino wool fibers are soft, fine and won't itch. The Zephyr Hoodie is also naturally antimicrobial for all-day odor-free freshness. As the snow flurries arrive you pop up the shaped hood above its slightly lowered neck for extra protection. Breaking into a run its set-in sleeves, forward side seam, and slightly curved hem give you the mobility to duck for shelter before the impending snow storm. Landing at the Corner Perk Caf, the Women's Zephyr Hoodie Sweater lifts your attitude with its cover stitch graphic embroidery that runs throughout, making this lightweight insulating Urban wear a conversational Icebreaker.

Slinky and soft
This soft merino hoody has a nice weight to it, making it both light and warm. The neck opening is a closer fit, but it's comfortable. Versatile sweater.
Versatile layering piece
Like all Icebreakers, this piece is made of the same high quality merino wool as other sporty tops. But this hoody is a lot more versatile. It's designed for city - I got the gray, and it has a subtle stitched flowery pattern that looks classy. But it's very functional in the backcountry as well due to the quality material. If you want something that you can wear both to the ski slopes and nice apres dinner, then this is the piece to get. I'm 5'6", 110LB, size small fits perfect.
Functional, warm, elegant, soft. Wool Hoody
I purchased this to take on the John Muir Trail for a 3 week journey in August. It is very lightweight for the warmth. This weight (Icebreaker 260) is the softest and most comfortable merino I have found, and it is good for summer morning and evenings. It is not bulky so can be a hooded layer under a patagonia down sweater or vest. It is the only woolen upper body item I carry in the backcountry (necessary because wool stays warm even if damp/wet). I am a small woman (5' 2" and 112 #). I chose a size large because for me Icebreaker sweater sizes run tight and small, particlarly in the armpits and upper arms. The large allows me to throw the garment on quickly over a baselayer even before getting out of my sleeping bag. If it is cold I can wear it inside the bag, with the hood up, keeping the cold from going down my neck. There really are no downsides. The garment has an elegant embroidered flower on the front hem (black on black). It is so nice that with the length of the large size I can pair it with Smartwool black leggings and go to casual dress affairs (have to turn up the sleeves as they are long). One issue could be that while the black color hides trail dirt, it also shows all pet hairs, lint etc. Most Icebreaker colors are too primary and bright for my taste.
