Helps with Cold Feet
Just started cross country skiing and snowshoeing this year and was suffering from horribly cold toes. These help a bunch - they wick the sweat away (yes, it's hard work) and are thin enough to allow me to easily wear 2 pairs of socks -- and the biggest plus of all - they do not bunch, wad or wrinkle in my shoes. I'm a size 6 - 6.5 shoe and always have trouble with too much toe in the sock - these are perfect and they come up over my rather heavy calves so they don't slide down either. Great liners!

Don't buy unless you are very short!!
"Over the calf" to me means that the top of a sock truly goes over the calf and the top rests right under my knee. Even though I bought a size L, these only reach halfway up my calf, strangling my well-endowed calf muscle in the process. Not only is the placement of the top of the sock poor, but there is no "give" in this sock at all. I wore these once and they are going straight into the bin for the next gear swap. :( They were only $10, which was the only good thing about them.
