Versatile stylish jacket
Beaitiful jacket, very flattering fit. Kept me warm on winter hikes and looked great worn out to dinner. The hood is really convenient if you like to travel light. I would buy it in another color if it went on sale.

LOVE the Quantum jacket!
It's amazing to me that this is actually wool! If it weren't for it's incredible ability to keep me so warm w/out being thick or heavy, plus the breatheability factor, it's wicking qualities, and lastly the anti-stink factor...I'd have thought it was a very high quality cotton or poly hoodie! It looks very sporty& stylish, too. Once I started trying Icebreaker, I've found that I don't want anything else! No other brands of high end fleece, or even other brands of merino wool can compare to the abilities of Icebreaker merino wool! I've tried many others, but they've all fallen short in one area or another. I've noticed that Icebreaker always finds ways to make their wool better- softer, more functional, and stylish to boot! The only thing that may be a slight issue is that it tends to run slimmer than some brands, but this jacket runs true to size compared to most Icebreaker tops. I'm 5'7" 130 lbs and the medium fits like a perfectly tailored, semi-fitted jacket.

Icebreaker QH is AWESOME!
I am an outdoor gear connoisseur and Icebreaker is my favorite clothing company for my upper body (I have yet to try pants due to not wanting to get alterations due to my shorter height). I have the quantum hood in 3 colors (blk, ink, quartz) and I bought them all in less than a month! That's how much I love them! I actually just wore one as my outer layer in addition to my icebreaker 260 baselayer and 150 tech tee while biking in 20's with high winds. Felt warm the whole time even when I was sweating profusely! The hood is awesome and offers great protection, even when not fully zipped. I will say that I look like a speed skater when the hoodie is fully zipped due to there not being much extra space around the face (don't be deceived by the pic of the model wearing it on the IB site, there really is not that much room; it's a vacuum packed fit), but that's what you want when it's a frigid, windy day out (like today). Material is fantastic and durable like all IB products! None of my IB tops are itchy (my boyfriend has contact dermatitis aka sensitive skin and he finds his stuff itchy sometimes). Colors are beautiful! The thumb loops are well reinforced and very handy when you forget your gloves or when you don't want the sleeves to ride up! The pocket on the right hand side is on the smaller scale and is shaped so that you can reach across your body and grab something out of it with your left hand (pocket opens from the front). I am not too fond of the upper chest left hand pocket. I have not figured out what I could comfortably put in there. The reflector zipper and IB logos are great for low light/dark outdoor adventures when safety in traffic is a concern. I usually do not like longer length tops, but this is perfect. It gives great coverage to my backside when biking. I am 5'3", 120 lbs, and usually wear a size xs/small in IB. Small fits me perfectly (as mentioned above, I comfortably had a baselayer and a tee under it). I can't say enough great things about IB! Buy it now and you, too, will fall in love!

Great jacket!
This jacket is a great versatile piece for anyones wardrobe. It is great for layering, not bUlky, yet warm. It also looks great as a main jacket cardigan with a pair of jeans and tall boots!

Amazing insulating layer
This hoody is awesome. Spent days trekking around in Tahoe and in the chilly mornings and evenings (40-50 degrees) it provided the perfect layer of warmth while regulating my heat during the days without over heating. And of course the merino wool being anti-microbial kept it fresh all week. I will say that the hoody has a "generous" cut in the chest.
