I've only used this glove liner once as a liner (and it worked well) but I really like using it as a thin glove alone. I live in the city and it's hard to dig out my subway card with "normal" thicker gloves. I like being able to wear these and still use my hands. The wool fabric is flexible and things don't slip out of my hands. Obviously they wouldn't be warm enough alone for longer stays outside but they are really great alone for commuting.
Great little liners
These glove liners are great, far warmer then I expected for their size and thickness. They are thin enough to easily slip under my work gloves but provide a great amount of warmth. I have even worn them by themselves whilst running when the evenings were getting cold. Overall a great product, very well made and more than what I expected. Yet another top quality product from Icebreaker. I must remember to thank my sister for putting me on to this brand.
Sweet!
Performs as stated! I'd warn all glove wearers to make sure your wearing the right size glove (shell). To much, to little will not allow effective protection against the elements. This item is perfect for those who experience periods of activity followed by inactivity. The liner performs as a wicking layer and a layer of warmth.
I am a 5'10 female 158 lbs. and these gloves fit nicely. They were a bit long in the fingers but overall very comfortable for wearing inside of my snowboard gloves all day. They are very lightweight and the seams are soft and comfortable. I really liked being able to take off my snowboard gloves to strap onto my snowboard but still having the icebreaker gloves on to keep my hands warm. With regard to durability I rated fair as I have only used them for two all day snowboard trips.
Comfortable, but watch out for size!
Material is very soft against the skin. I bought a medium, thinking a small would be too large--considering that there are women who have smaller hands than myself. However, the fingertips are a bit long (I want to be able to wear the gloves while typing...being the cold-handed person that I am) The material is non-constricting. In short, if you are a woman with average sized hands (not too small, not to large) I suggest ordering a small.
