A versatile, midweight merino wool baselayer for soft, itch-free winter and mountain comfort.
Crafted from New Zealand merino wool, the Ibex Men's Zepher Zip T-Neck serves as an excellent first layer for skiing, mountaineering, boating, or under a sweater when the temperature drops closer to home. An 11 inch zip allows you to vent excess heat, while the 2.5 inch collar traps warmth when the zipper is pulled all the way up. Natural elasticity adds to the Zepher's comfort when stretching, which also lends to the shirt maintaining its like-new shape after extended wear. The Ibex Men's Zepher Zip T-Neck is machine washable for easy care, and the natural antimicrobial properties keep the stink to a minimum, even after successive days of 24 hour wear in the backcountry.

There's nothing better
Like the other reviewer I got the Zepher after falling in love with my Ibex woolies zip-t. The Zepher line is a mid-weight material and Woolies is light-weight. Both are exceptional. I've owned Patagonia, Smartwool and Icebreaker tops and of all Ibex is most like a nice cotton jersey t-Shirt for being completely itch free. Also the Ibex construction is superior. Garments are assembled with flat, strong seams that make for a great fit. These people know how to make clothes fit the human form. Check out the Ibex Shak Glove liner (here at Altrec) for an example. I think it's only Ibex for me from now on.
I'll NEVER go back to synthetics
You have to buy a wool garment from IBEX, like the Zepher, as they are the best for warmth, fit and comfort. I am 6'4" and have 35" arms and IBEX has done it right--nice long sleeve length that comes down snugly around your wrists (no loose fit so that cold air rushes up your arms). I bought this shirt two months ago (along with their Woolies Zip-T) and will never go back to synthetic materials for my base/insulation layers again. Warm, itch-free, no odor (I wore it for 9 straight days out West while skiing...don't ask) and it never retained any odor. Warm--holy cow are their garments warm! I just wore it in 9 degree weather and I was toasty all day. I have tried-on the new Patagonia wool base layers and IBEX has them beat hands-down with better fit and quality of workmanship. IBEX is by far the best (can u tell I'm a total convert). I reco also buying their Woolies Zip-T and layering it under this shirt. The Woolies Zip-T is form fitting (although it stretches with you) and...very warm, it hugs your body and you stay toasty. These garments will move perspiration away from your skin just like the polys do. These two garments together cannot be beat by any poly-pro garment on the market today. Like me you'll wonder why you didn't think of buying wool sooner. I will be buying many more IBEX garments in the future.
