I'm very pleasantly surprised with this pack!
I have always purchased Osprey packs exclusively for many years and shied away from Gregory due to the weight - finally decided to buy one based on review in Backpacker magazine. Boy was I pleasantly surprised! I unloaded everything out of my Osprey Atmos 65 and packed it into the Gregory Z55 and it all fit with room to spare - the capacity of the two packs seems comparable. The Osprey is a few ounces lighter and has a nicer packbag with more features, but the Gregory suspension is more substantial in both the hipbelt and shoulder harness. It's still raining in the Northwest so I've only used it on a dayhike and the treadmill so far but I can tell this is going to be a VERY comfortable pack for all day on the trail. I still love my Osprey packs (have a Xeos 58, Atmos 65, and Atmos 50) but I think the Gregory suspension will entice me to use it over the Osprey features, this pack is so nice I went and bought a Gregory Z65 as well to have for longer trips. I'm sold that Gregory is comparable to Osprey in quality and glad I purchased this pack.
Great Pack
Using the pack to travel Europe next month. Very durable and lightweight. Very comfortable and sits on hips well.
Great pack!
This pack is by far the most comfortable pack I have ever worn. I am a thick guy and this is the only lightweight pack I could find to fit my chest and midsection. I love everything about it and the only thing I would suggest to the folks at Gregory is for a watter bottle pocket. It has none but I use a bladder mostly so it's not an issue for me. I would and have recommended it to my friends.

great pack
great, comfortable pack. i personally am not a huge fan of the top-only-loading design, but if you don't mind spending a little time making sure things are in there right, it packs very nicely. a big drawback is that it has no zipper anywhere to unload things from the bottom or middle, though the side zipper does help if you have a few things you need to access fits very nicely, and if you get used to Gregory's fitting directions, it's easy to get a great fit quickly without much adjusting.
