Ultralight, top loading overnight or fastpacker with airflow suspension and multi-stash pockets.
Whether you're doing an ultralight overnight or a fast day out and back, the Gregory Z30 Backpack carry's your gear effortlessly with a unique Jet Stream DTS (Dynamic Transfer System) suspension system. The harness system is mounted to the main pack on crisscrossing bars. A tensioning system that stiffens the frame and offers additional support when more weight is loaded into the pack, keeps the pack off your back for maximum air-flow, while dynamically adjusting with the weight in your pack. Ideal for fast packing adventures including mountain traverses, hiking, and peak bagging, this pack handles up to 35 pounds of gear comfortably in its 1,800 cubic inch capacity. The simple top loading main pocket features a hydration sleeve, front zipper pocket, front dump pocket and stretchy mesh outer pockets for assorted extras. The hip-belt stash pockets provide easy access of sunscreen, energy bars, MP3, and quick need necessities.

Great Fishing Daypack
Most comfortable daypack I have found. The venting in the back is perfect for warm temps. I use it as a fishing pack for hike in fishing trips. The hip belt pockets are perfect for storing fly boxes/etc. and the pack is comfortable enough to leave on all day while fishing upstream. Also the tool cords work perfectly to hold rod tubs. Outside pouch pocket is great for wet wading shoes, rain gear etc. Great all around pack, the only downside is the material is so light it could rip if caught on thorns/ect. But I haven't had any problems with it yet.
Great fit and support for taller frames
At 6'-4" it is difficult to find packs around 30l that fit and provide support. Gregory has accomplished both. With a hydration bladder, the added weight on the shoulders proved to be burdensome over time with conventional daypacks. The Z30 eliminates this issue altogether and keeps you cool on long summer hikes. The Z30 could be improved slightly if side compression straps for the kangaroo pouch were longer to better accommodate bulky items as little room is left for the pouch when pack is full. All in all though this is terrific pack and fits the bill for tall profiles perfectly.
