The harness system is mounted to the main pack on crisscrossing bars. A tensioning system that stiffens the frame and offers additional support when more weight is loaded into the pack, keeps the pack off your back for maximum air-flow, while dynamically adjusting with the weight in your pack. Ideal for fast packing adventures including mountain traverses, hiking, and peak bagging, this pack handles up to 35 pounds of gear comfortably in its 1,800 cubic inch capacity. Great fit and support for taller frames
At 6'-4" it is difficult to find packs around 30l that fit and provide support. Gregory has accomplished both. With a hydration bladder, the added weight on the shoulders proved to be burdensome over time with conventional daypacks. The Z30 eliminates this issue altogether and keeps you cool on long summer hikes. The Z30 could be improved slightly if side compression straps for the kangaroo pouch were longer to better accommodate bulky items as little room is left for the pouch when pack is full. All in all though this is terrific pack and fits the bill for tall profiles perfectly.
