It's Neoform seamless upper is snugged via an interlocking lacing system with internal support straps that effectively wraps around the foot when cinched, rather than tying it down. The sculpted seamless design eliminates stitching chafe, while an anti microbial adjustable insole customizes the fit. Get em
Got these shoes for trail runs and some occasional backpacking. Did a handful of 3-4 mile trail runs in them right away and they felt great from the start. Then did a 3 night 37mile section hike with a 30lb pack thru the Great Smoky Mountain National Park and again they felt great. That was even with about 6-7 hours of hiking in torrential rain one day. They are not waterproof at all (which I knew going in) but even after 12 miles and 3000' of elevation gain my feet although soaked were still pretty comfortable with no blisters. I like em. I wear a 10.5 normally and got a 10.5 in these and they fit true to size for me.
great shoes, but run a 1/2 size small
After returning original order for 1/2 size larger I wore these straight out of the box for an 8-1/2 mile hike with my Boy Scout troop at the Mt. Rushmore pilgrimage. There was no break in required and my feet felt great after 4 hours on the trail. I look forward to many more miles in the Cloud Peak Wilderness with these shoes.
Have done great for myself
Used these shoes everyday since I got them in the mail and I couldn't be more happy. They are a really comfortable for the long distance trail runs.
Good traction light and comfortable
I've read many reviews in preparation for long hike this summer with my son. My concerns were comfort weight and backpacking support for this old man. Have tried other more expensive big name boots but did not like the stiff soles. I read the paw pad and was skeptical but I am now sold on it and can't imagine getting anything different in the future.
Good traction, good toe coverage
Rubs my pinky toe a bit. So I gave it to my son who has no problems with it and likes it.
