Great so far.
Used once so far - for a seven day trip. Wish I'd have bought this years ago. The Odyssey is 3 pounds lighter than my Gregory pack and not that much smaller. Has all the features I need and carried well. My only concern is whether the outer side slots will hold up well carrying skis in the winter. Overall - highly recommended!
Go Lite provides a means to do just that (go lite)
The odyssey pack is a large volume pack with great support many features and at the weight of a day pack. It is perfect for extended trips with light weight gear. It carries like a dream and you have an option of cinching it down for summit day! I have a whole stable of back packs and this is by far my favorite!!!
Above average but could have been great
Above average as extremely lightweight but could have been great. Waist buckle deflects and deforms and will not buckle under stress (40+ lbs) if not careful unbuckling and buckling. And looking at the remainder of the pack there is nothing to cannibalize to replace it when it fails. 40 lbs on the shoulders makes for a long day, week. I was lucky--it popped on the last leg of a 50 miler.
