fits very well, light weight
I like the minimalist look of Shiv better than other helmets. I have used this helmet for a total of 8 days and I can honestly say that I am not aware of it while skiing. It is comfortable as it fits my head very well. My only problem with wearing a helmet is lacking field of vision. I ordered a pair of Electric EG2 googles and hopeful it will solve this problem, as it is so big. Based on what I read online, EG2 would fit Shiv helmet.

Better options out there
I was not very pleased with this helmet. If I didn't already use it and get a scratch or two on it, I would certainly return it. The fit is very uncomfortable. Many helmets have a mesh netting/webbing that allow them to comfortably sit on the head, but this helmet is simply hard foam with some pads that velcro in and slip around a bit. It definitely does not conform to the head comfortably and it sits high on the head. I have worn Giro helmets before and this one does not match the sizes of the others, and as a result, the helmet did not sit comfortably on my head. It is certainly warm and looks good, but I am not happy at all with this purchase. While I am sure it is of high quality, the appearance of a shell and foam on the inside with some velcro pads here and there make it look a little cheap and almost like the inside of your basic bicycle helmet. I rated it as average because I am sure there are cheaper, less durable helmets out there, but this is far from the best, even among those at the same price level.
