Great approach shoe! They broke in after only wearing them a few days to work. Their first trip into the wild involved scrambling up almost 1,500 in less than a mile to the summit of Mount Evans, a fourteener in Colorado. When we got to the top a snow storm rolled in and the shoes stayed dry. It wasn't until I trekked through a boggy field that the inside got soaked. The toe box is a little big but I have a slightly wider foot than average. They fit perfect to my size, no toe cramming on the downhill at all. I've only had these shoes a couple of weeks but I love them! By noon on Sunday they will have summited their second fourteener! Thanks Altrec and Garmont for a great product!

These shoes are so light and comfortable from the second I put them on!!! Good craftsmanship, Great Design!!! I have used these in a Rock climbing gym and I tell you what almost as good as normal climbing shoes. Then I have hit up the trails with them as well. You can run, walk, and scramble anywhere. Bear Grylls would definitely want a pair or two of these. Cons: 1. They need a version with a waterproof membrane (I used nikwax and that works decently aside from having to apply somewhat frequently)!!! 2. The fit is not true to size they actually run about a size big. I was surprised by this since I would think being an approach shoe they would be more like a climbing shoe and be tighter for there size. The width was to size the length was a size long. I have many other garmont feet products that all fit to size so it was a little weird that these didn't. So lesson is buy it a little smaller or wear thicker socks, haha, unfortunately that is what happens when buying online. Awesome shoe over all can't wait to use them more!!!

I wore this shoe on a hike up the New Jersey Palisades as soon as they arrived. That was fine but it has been during the past week while wearing them on my daily work treks on NYC streets and up and down multiple Subway stairs that has got me thinking about getting another pair soon. Very happy with these shoes.
