Good buy
extra bonus - the liner is detachable...so you can use it with other shorts you already have. Fit is a little off in the crotch, but loose enough for cycling good distances, not to "fashionable" when you're off the bike.
Good product, but misleading photo
I love the chamois. It fits me great. I ordered a medium and even though the chamois fit great, the outer layer was so baggy, I had to sew it to fit better. I am very happy with the feeling of the shorts overall though. I have never had a chamois that fit so great right away. I was disappointed that the shorts are not what they are in the photo, I was looking forward to the plaid on the sides. But, still a nice short.
Great Fit, Wrong Color
These shorts were a great fit on me. I'm 5'2" 115lbs and I ordered a small. The adjustable velcro waistband created a perfect fit on the shorts. The lining and chamois fit great as well. Just be careful as the lining is a mesh and a bit fragile. Not as durable as a lycra lining, but I find it much cooler. However, my shorts were all black, and did not have the nice plaid pattern. They need to update the picture on the site, as this is misleading!
Love the shorts, wish the chamois were tougher
These shorts fit great and perform well. The mesh liner isn't bad on me, really, but then, I did buy a medium (I'm 5' and 120 lbs), so the outer short is baggy on me. The chamois is thinner than some, but it does alright. My chief complaint with these (and all Fox shorts) is that the liner is so fragile. I had to take back a pair because the stitching came right out of the chamois after just a few wears, and the new ones are the same way. It's the nature of how they're made - the stitching isn't well reinforced, and the mesh isn't very tough. You have to pull them on very gently, like pantyhose. I end up wearing a lycra chamois (which you can just hike up like you would any shorts/pants) under these shorts a lot of the time as a result.
Flattering, but chamois a little snug
I'm 5'1", 115lb and I got the small. They are super cute, but my only complaint is that the chamois liner shorts are a bit snug. The elastic around the bottom of the thighs needs to be looser, especially for muscular bike rider legs. But overall, I really like these shorts!
