supper comfortable yet technical
I've used these shoes to approach half dome the rubber sticks great yet still comfortable for long hikes. Does run a bit snug which allows you to climb some routes. Best approach shoe I have ever owned.

Excellent for dry conditions
These are my favorite approach shoes as long as there will be no snow and minimal water involved. They are able to handle long approaches with a heavy pack and I have used them with total comfort on 20+ mile days in the High Sierra. They easily handle scrambling and moderate technical climbing. Watch out on green grassy hills, the dot pattern tread will slip out on you. Everything else sticks like glue.
