Great value
This is an extremely comfortable bag at a great price. I'm very impressed with the volume of the bag, especially with the ability to extend by another 10 liters without carrying around a true 70 liter bag. I had the bag loaded to 35 lbs with absolutely no problems. My only gripe is the lack of hip pockets, which would have added minimal weight but a lot of functionality.
Great pack from a consistent company
Between my four teenagers and myself, we have four different brands of internal backpacks. I've used them all over the last 10 years, and my favorite is consistently the Deuter pack. It is the best fitting, most comfortable and has shown great durability. Hence, the reason for my purchase of the larger ACT zero 60+10. This pack at 3lbs is great weight for volume on any comparison chart. The construction is high quality, and the fit is fantastic. I particularly like the very quick shoulder strap adjustments if I trade packs between my kids (6'5" to 5'7")!
Awesome Pack
Very lightweight, and carried well. Loaded it with a tetragon7 tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, folding shovel, 3cell maglight, personal cooking system, 1.5L pot, frying pan, extra gas,2L food container, 3L hydration pack, water filter, and for several miles i loosened the top straps and carried a 4 year old on top of the pack. Would buy another for sure. I'm 6' tall around 250# and we walked a total of 17 miles so my shoulders were sore but i think that i was pretty loaded and probably should have been so. Still love the pack.
Great pack
I received my pack within a few days of ordering it. I have to say the pack is very comfortable even with 40lbs. My back didn't get too tired , no back pains. Just an awesome pack.Plenty of support and padding.
just right
Loaded this pack up for 6 days just recently in the high Sierras with the weather changing from warm and sunny to snow flurries then temps close to 10f. The pack's design enabled me to load the main compartment with all gear including bear canister, stove, cooking kit, and have layers available in the outer vented pocket for easy access, or stuff them back in the main compartment. The Aircontact system works to minimize sweating and speed drying so as the weather turned from warm to cold, I never stayed wet so never got cold. Despite the extremely low weight, both the shoulder and hip pads are very comfortable even when climbing and descending thousands of vertical a day. The pack is laterally stable especially when cinched in tight to the back for river crossings. After 6 rough days, the pack still looks virtually brand new.
