Great Pack
I love this pack. I've used it for everything from Lightweight summer trips on the A.T. to winter trips up Mt. Washington. The Good: - Super adjustable. I can dial in the torso more so than any other pack I have tried. And I can loan it to my wife or son with no trouble. - Lightweight, but can carry a heavy load. I think the 45 lb limit is pretty accurate. I wouldn't want to carry more. - Plenty of organization, but still a streamlined simple design without excess straps everywhere. - Hip Belt pocket! This is a must for me :) - Nice and cool on the back for hot summer trips. The Kinda Bad: - The stitching started to come undone on the front shovel pocket after the first time I used it. Nothing structural, but it had me worried about the packs durability. No worries though, even after some rugged trips the rest of the pack is solid. - The side pockets could be bellowed a bit more. if the pack is stuffed full, it's hard to stretch them to fit a bottle. - The hip belt pocket is a little small making it a little hard to get things in and out. BUT...This also keeps it from rubbing on your arms if you let them swing by your sides. Overall it is a well thought out pack with attention to little details that make it nice. The combination of lightweight, great adjustability, load carrying capacity and price, make this a hard pack to beat.

Luv this!
Love the big pocket on the front. Very practical. Pack is just as strong as it needs to be for a lightweight pack. I've used with up to 50 lbs of gear. (though I wouldn't attempt anything beyond that).

I bought this pack for use from short (3 days) to long (2+ weeks) trekkings and I'm really satisfied about its size, confort and weight. Its such a great pack!

great pack
id been looking for a solid pack that offered light weight, large carrying capacity (volume and weight), comfort, versatility, and durability and all for a good price. after reading some great reviews about this pack, i decided to pull the trigger and ordered it. since then ive taken it on two backpacking trips and put this guy through its paces, filling it to capacity with gear and water. in addition to the above qualities, i found it distributed weight like a champ and it has several pockets that are very useful for organization of camp gear. and somehow it still looks almost like new. the only drawback i can think of is that im not too fond of the color, but im more of a neutral color sort of guy (forest green would be nice). Id definitely recommend this pack to any practical backpacker

Awesome alpine pack
I bought this pack specifically for a rainier climb. did an acclimatization trek to 10k with about 65lbs worth of gear and it felt like I was carrying 30lbs. Excellent lateral stability; the pack doesn't sway it clings to your back. The Vari-quick adjustment system is awesome in that you can micro adjust the pack fit according to the size of the load in about 15 seconds whereas other packs take bending and moulding to do the same. The pack is bomber, solidly built for euro style alpinism and trekking. The small pouch in the hipbelt was great for handy access items like a small gps/topo/compass or power bars. Overall a great pack because of its usability/quality/fit rivals some ospreys I've used but at a fraction of the price!
