I needed a new weekend bag, and I researched for a while. I wanted something durable but cute. I love Dakine products
great bag!
This is a great bag and good quality for the price. It was a little bigger than I expected so I bought another one in the medium size. All is good. You can always use a duffel for either weekend fun or workout use.
Weekender!!
Bought it for the small weekend trips back home from college. This was just what I was looking for. Perfect size and Loved the patterned material it's made of. I expect it to survive a great amount of usage!
perfect
Bought this bag to replace my soft "briefcase" style carry on for air travel & it is perfect in every way-- price, size, durability, comfort, & style.
Almost perfect
Love the fact that Dakine still makes bags with 600D waterproof polyester, especially since it seems most gym bag makers seem to be using thinner materials nowadays. This Dakine EQ bag really feels durable and built to last. It's also incredibly cute (I bought the plush plaid pattern)! The small size is quite small - good size for gym or weekend trip, but filled up fast with a pair of sneakers and a couple of bulky fleece sweaters. The side pocket on the small is not big enough for a pair of sneakers, but can hold some sandals and/or dirty clothes. The large size is humongous - bought it for holding ski boots, helmet, ski pants and what not ... it will definitely hold all my gear for a ski trip. The side pocket on the large is definitely big enough of a pair of sneakers, or probably even winter/hiking boots. Too bad they were sold out of medium sizes, or I'd have bought one of those too - never know, these bags come in handy on all kinds of trips! Just one complaint: the shoulder strap is limited in how much the length can be adjusted. The padding on the strap is sewn onto the middle of the strap, so it can't be moved ... and then there are length adjustments on either side of the padding. But even with both length adjustments put on the shortest possible position, the bag still hangs down quite low. (I'm 5"6', and it hits me between low hip and mid-thigh.) This is annoying when I'm walking and it keeps banging into my leg. I like to keep my bag up high and close to my torso to limit its swinging around when I hustle, and the only way to do it with this bag is to sling the shoulder strap diagonally across my body - doable, but not my preferred method. Also, the plastic clips at either end of the strap are a little squeaky, but that seems to happen with a lot of such clips ... oh well. Other than the shoulder strap, I do love these bags, yay!
