A trim design carries the essentials in comfort, including skis or a snowboard, and a snow shovel.
Built to carry the essentials, the Dakine Heli Pack foregoes the extras to reduce weight. Still built for load carrying comfort like all Dakine snow packs, it offers vertical snowboard and diagonal ski carry options when there's no choice but to hoof it back to the resort after carving an unforgettable line on the backside. An insulated hydration sleeve keeps hot brew warm and cool refreshment from freezing. Other features include a zippered tool pocket and a quick access snow shovel carrier. For a larger option, be sure to review the Dakine Heli Pro, Large.

Comfort / Fit / Storage - all great for Bike Commuter
I commute and wanted an affordable backpack that fit minimal items and was comfortable. I had been using a regular sized book backpack and was feeling it in my shoulders all day. This backpack turned out to be perfect for me. I can fit a change of clothes (including shoes), small shower bag, and a couple items for lunch in it. The belts make sure my shoulders aren't carrying the bulk by themselves. I've received a bunch of compliments on the style too! An added bonus!

Awesome Backpack
This is a really good backpack. It fits tight and close to my back making it optimal for hiking/trail running and as a commuter pack. Pockets are in logical location and perfect for fitting everything you might desire. Also comes with enough adjustment straps to appropriately tweet the pack to make it fit nicely. The board slot double nicely as place for a Ulock or a water bladder. Can't say enough things about this backpack, you should get it can't beat it for the price.
Very Nice Pack...
I have used it twice on the slopes (skiing and snowboarding) and it is perfect to carry my stuff while I am on the mountain. I never used a pack while skiing before, and I would always have to trek back to my truck if I wanted a drink, snack, etc. This pack is low profile enough to hold all of that, plus my North Face Bionic Apex jacket, letting me have some layering options as well. Carrying skis with the pack is great. It makes walking from the lot to the slopes much easier; not having to manage skis and poles while walking doesn't seem like much, but it is infinitely better just having the skis on your back. It also holds a snowboard, but those are easy enough to carry without using the pack. Overall a great purchase at a great price, and I would recommend this to anyone.
