Good substitute better models
Living in the South and only vacationing in hot places means wearing flip flops about 80% of the year. I'm using these to rotate with my Athens in watermelon (no longer make the Athens model). I saw these, and found they were the brightest colors in this the line (I bought another pair). Compared to my Athens ones, the sole is thinner and provides less arch support. It is supposed to be some type of new material to mold to your food, but I didn't find that. The sides are flat rather than slightly curving upward. The straps definitely have more of pronounced edge to them. I'm not saying they are sharp; they are better than cheaper brands, but not as good as I expepcted. I, however, live in a variety of Crocs all year, so I wouldn't buy any other. The shortcomings these have aren't enough to prevent me from buying them again.
