Glamorous movie queen meets slope-side style extraordinaire in one pretty, waterproof package. Inspired by the girlish allure of 1940s fashion, the Hayworth Jacket balances its fashion-forward silhouette with innovative on-slope tech. Featuring full seam sealing and our most advanced waterproof breathability, this Omni-Tech jacket forms a fashionable force field against wet weather and other winter elements. A precious neckline and princess seaming create a feminine contour. The sleeves bell sweetly out at the elbow for a blousy effect; but when the powder's falling and it's time to get serious, adjustable drawcords at the cuff allow you to cinch down the sleeve ruffles to keep fresh snow out. A light, 40g insulation fights the freeze, while waterproof zip-closed pockets keep your electronics in perfect working order. Attach the powder skirt to block snow and frigid wind, easily removing it when it's time to hit the town. Active fit.

Another great Columbia purchase...
Everything I've had by Columbia has been made with top-notch quality and so much forethought! Living in Illinois, I'm not into winter activities like skiing as much as I would like to have been. However, all the zipped pockets, the removable inner "skirt", and the longer/tighter sleeve inserts are great considerations for "function" in very cold weather. The dark purple fabric is gorgeous! I love the style--the high neck is lovely and GREAT for blocking the cold. This is not your typical utilitarian-looking winter jacket, though it has a lot of "utility". So glad you had it in my size! Very good purchase!! The only thing I would love to be different in the design: as someone who's 5'9", it would be great if the outer sleeve length was a bit longer. The inner sleeve provides more than sufficient coverage, but I would like it if they were more in proportion. I'm sure the original designer appreciates my aesthetic.

Great Stylish Jacket
I have had this jacket since the fall and it is my go to jacket now that it is cold weather. I like having the high neck option since I am in the cold quite a bit on a daily basis. I also like the black sleeves which keep the cold air out. I have had many compliments on this jacket. People are surprised that Columbia has made such a stylish jacket that is functional. My only issue is that I have to make sure the zipper is in properly lined up before zipping it or the zipper splits.
Great Jacket with Unusual Design
Fits great has wide cuff with special area to keep cold out
Love the Hayworth Jacket!
I had seen and tried this jacket at a store so I knew what I was getting into. Things I like about this jacket: 1) The cuffs are about 7" long and longer than the sleeves. The cuffs are gathered with elastic in pintuck style. When I wear the jacket, I fold the cuffs over, they are snug- I like that. I can also leave the cuffs unfolded- they are long enough on me to cover my fingers. I do not wear gloves unless necessary, so this long-cuff feature is great for me. 2) the sleeves do NOT have elastic or velcro- I like that! There is a cinch inside that you can use to pull the ends of the sleeves tighter if you wish. I do not want to do that - I removed the cinch cords. 3) The sleeves have a 2-inch finish fold. When I need the sleeves to be shorter, I just fold the ends over and the end of the sleeves still look nice and finished. 4) I like the combination of the separate cuffs and the sleeves that can be folded over. This is the only jacket I have that does not bunch up at my wrist! 5) The collar also has two pieces- an inside piece which is pin-tucked with elastic like the sleeves. When I zip all the way up, this inside collar reaches to my nose. I like that for its occasional use. I no longer buy scarves or mufflers (I lose them all the time). 6) The outside collar is wider than normal collars. When I stand it up, it reaches past my ears. I like that, too. I do not like rabbit ears. Style is a matter of opinion. I like this jacket and it serves my purpose.
