met all my criteria
these are awesome. very light weight, quick drying. the thigh pockets are essential for having things handy while you paddle. also, quick to open and close with velcro, unlike a buttoned pocket. these are just what i wanted. and the mud color is the best to not show dirt. i wear stuff as technical clothing but these are also "cute girl". and my paddle socks and booties come up to meet the length. that was important. a double seat would make them tougher as the fabric is light.

Great knee pants!
I love these pants - so comfortable. I own several styles of Columbia shorts and pants but these are definitely my favorite ones! Get lots of compliments from my friends and coworkers all the time. Perfect for our extremely hot summers, quick drying, light weight. Will probably buy more in more colors..

My wife's favorite pants
I took a chance and bought these for my wife for canoe trips. Now she wears them every day and I had to buy her two more pairs in different colors. comfy and versatile
These pants are made of a very comfortable fabric that is both waterproof and breathable. The length is very good, hitting just below the knee. I like wearing mine while hiking or walking. The multiple pockets are very convenient.
